Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of the VersAIt app for iPhone and Mac and the versait.ai website. Both are provided by Glass Overlay LLC ("we" or "us"). By using VersAIt, you agree to these terms. If you get VersAIt from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where the two conflict, Apple's agreement governs.
1. What VersAIt is
VersAIt is a voice and text front end. It connects to AI services and servers that you choose and set up yourself. VersAIt doesn't provide any AI model, and it doesn't run a service between you and those providers.
2. Your API keys, your accounts, your costs
- To use a built-in provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or xAI), you need your own account and API key with that provider. You're responsible for keeping your keys secure and for everything done with them.
- Providers bill you directly for usage. Every send can go to several AIs at once, and each one may bill you. The cost meter in VersAIt is an estimate based on the token counts providers report and on prices you can edit. It isn't a bill, and it may not match what a provider charges.
- For any custom server you add, you're responsible for having permission to use it.
3. Provider terms apply
When you use an AI provider through VersAIt, you're using that provider's service under its terms, usage policies and privacy policy. Those include rules on acceptable use, minimum age and content. You agree to follow them. We don't control and aren't responsible for any provider's service, availability, pricing or output.
4. AI output
AI replies can be wrong, incomplete, out of date or inappropriate. VersAIt reads them aloud and shows them as the providers returned them. Don't rely on AI output for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical or other important decisions without checking it yourself.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use VersAIt to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, or to try to interfere with or reverse engineer the app beyond what applicable law allows.
6. Ownership
VersAIt, its design, and the VersAIt name and logo belong to Glass Overlay LLC. Your messages and the content you create are yours, subject to the terms of the providers you send them to. Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Grok are trademarks of their respective owners. VersAIt isn't affiliated with or endorsed by them.
7. No warranty
VersAIt is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. That includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise that VersAIt will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will work with any particular provider, model or server.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Glass Overlay LLC won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or provider charges, that arise from your use of VersAIt. Our total liability for any claim relating to VersAIt is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
9. Changes and termination
We may update VersAIt and these terms. If we make a material change, we'll update the effective date above. You can stop using VersAIt at any time by deleting it.
